Dr. Kaustubh Durve is a highly trained specialist in Knee and Shoulder arthroscopy, sports injuries, and joint replacement surgery who has gained extensive surgical experience working at world renowned centers of excellence in the UK and in Mumbai. He returned from the UK to practise in Mumbai since 2008. He is attached to Fortis, Jupiter, Nova (Apollo), and Shushrusha Hospitals. He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, has a fellowship of the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS), and was awarded a Diploma by the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine (FSEM) of UK. He was Assistant Professor on the faculty of Orthopaedic surgery at the K. J. Somaiya Medical College in Mumbai, and still holds an honorary attachment there

Dr Durve currently conducts a super specialty orthopaedic surgical practice in areas of Arthroscopy, sports injuries, and joint replacement surgery.
Common surgeries performed include Arthroscopic repair / reconstruction of Anterior Cruciate ligament (ACL), Posterior Cruciate Ligament (PCL), meniscal cartilages, articular cartilage, etc. in the knee; Arthroscopic repair of Bankart’s lesion, labral tears, rotator cuff tears, etc. in the shoulder; Partial and Total Knee joint replacement (TKR); Shoulder joint replacement; High tibial osteotomy (HTO), other knee deformity surgeries, and open ligament reconstructions (MCL, PLC, MPFL, etc.).He also performs a fair number of joint replacements and arthroscopic surgeries on the Hip and Ankle for sports injuries, tendon disorders, arthritis, etc.

Teaching Experience
Since his return to India, Dr Durve has been a faculty on arthroscopy courses and workshops across the country. He has also been a guest lecturer at the national & regional conferences. In the past, Dr Durve has been a faculty on registrar teaching programs and has conducted lecture series for medical students and physiotherapy students. He has nearly five years of University recognized full time teaching experience in Orthopaedics. He has made several international presentations at key meetings in India and UK.
